Authors You MUST Try
If you love reading books as much as I do, then there's one thing you have to do: when you find a book you like, you have to read their other works in support of the author.
Here is a list of authors you have to try, along with which books you should start with when checking them out.
Authors You MUST Try:
- Abbie Emmons. Oh my goodness, you haven't discovered what YA romance really is until you have read Abbie Emmons' work. As of this writing, she has written three books: 100 Days of Sunlight; The Best Christmas Ever; and The Otherworld, with a fourth novel in progress. I suggest reading 100 Days of Sunlight first!
- Nadine Brandes. I absolutely love the unique writing style of Nadine Brandes! She has so much talent, and I love her work! As of this writing, she has written seven novels: The Out of Time series, which includes A Time to Die, A Time to Speak, and A Time to Rise; Fawkes; Romanov; Wishtress; and her newest book, The Nightmare Virus. For a first read, I would suggest Wishtress, since it's an easy and very fun read.
- Caroline George. The plots of her books are absolutely insane, in the best way possible! As of this writing, she has written three novels: Dearest Josephine; The Summer We Forgot; and Curses and Other Buried Things. I would suggest reading Dearest Josephine first!
- Betty Culley. I really hope you take me up on this, because I absolutely love the way she uses verse to tell a story! As of this writing, she has written four books: Three Things I Know Are True; Down to Earth; The Name She Gave Me; and The Natural Genius of Ants.
- Alison Gervais. Talk about powerful writing! Her penmanship will keep you on the edge of your seat with its ingenuity and creativity. As of this writing, she has written three novels: In 27 Days; The Silence Between Us; and her newest book, A Game Most Foul. In 27 Days also has a sequel on Wattpad, Face Your Fears. For a starter read, I would suggest The Silence Between Us, because it will really open your eyes to the Deaf community.
Happy reading!
