Authors You MUST Try Pt. 2

 Hello again, readers!

In one of my previous posts, I made a post titled "Authors You MUST Try," which you can view in the blog. This post is going to be a part two of that, because I want to spotlight more authors. (And not at all because I enjoyed making this post more than any other.)

So here are five more authors you MUST try!

Enjoy!

Authors You MUST Try:

  1. Kasie West. If you love the most perfect, most adorably cuddly romances on the planet, you will really enjoy Kasie West's writing style. I know I do! As of this writing, she has released nineteen novels: The Distance Between Us; Pivot Point and its sequel, Split Second; On the Fence; The Fill-In Boyfriend; P.S. I Like You; By Your Side; Lucky In Love; Listen To Your Heart; Snow In Love; Maybe This Time; Moment of Truth; Sunkissed; Places We've Never Been; Borrow My Heart; her latest novel, Better Than Revenge; and a series, with three books: Love, Life, and the List; Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss; and The Sun, the Moon, and the Truth. I would recommend starting with Places We've Never Been, because it's a wonderful slow burn that is sure to win you over!
  2. Marissa Meyer. Her writing is so powerful and compelling, and I am sure that anyone who loves a gripping tale will love her style. As of this writing, she has released -- novels: The Lunar Chronicles series, which consists of six books, Cinder; Scarlet; Cress; Winter; Fairest; and Stars Above, with two graphic novels, Wires and Nerve and Gone Rogue, as well; the Renegades series, with three books, Renegades; Arch Enemies; and Supernova; Heartless; Instant Karma; the Gilded Duology, with Gilded and Cursed; Serendipity; With a Little Luck; Let It Glow; and her newest graphic novel, We Could Be Magic, is scheduled for release on June 3, 2025. (My birthday, actually!) To start with, I would say Heartless, because it will ease you into the world of Marissa Meyer without being too much.
  3. Erin Bartels. If I could replicate one author's works, it would be this talented woman. She has written so many inspiring and hilarious stories, and I have fallen hopelessly in love with her memorable characters. As of this writing, she has released seven novels: This Elegant Ruin; We Hope For Better Things; The Words Between Us; All That We Carried; The Girl Who Could Breathe Underwater; Everything is Just Beginning; and her latest novel, The Lady with the Dark Hair. If you read her novels, I think you should start with All That We Carried, because it's inspiring and will keep you reading late into the night.
  4. Jaime Jo Wright. Not everyone is into horror, but if you're ever curious about trying it, this is who you should begin with. They are eerie without being outright disturbing, and the mysteries are always so fun! As of this writing, she has written thirteen novels, as well as featuring in a few collections with multiple authors: The House On Foster Hill; The Reckoning at Gossamer Pond; The Curse of Misty Wayfair; Echoes Among the Stones; The Haunting at Bonaventure Circus; On the Cliffs of Foxglove Manor; The Souls of Lost Lake; The Premonition at Withers Farm; The Lost Boys of Barlowe Theater; The Vanishing at Castle Moreau; Night Falls at Predicament Avenue; Specters in the Glass House; and her newest novel, Tempest at Annabel's Lighthouse, is scheduled to be released later this year. All of these novels are deliciously horrifying, so read at your own discretion, but for a first read I would suggest The Vanishing at Castle Moreau, as it is probably the easiest to get into. Just be sure to keep a light on!
  5. Bethany Turner. If you love laughing and dreamily sighing at the most amazing rom-coms, Bethany Turner is the author for you! Every word you read is a good time. As of this writing, she has written eleven books: Two Thousand Years; Scenes From Highland Falls; I've Loved These Days; The Secret Life of Sarah Hollenbeck; Wooing Cadie McCaffrey; Hadley Beckett's Next Dish; Plot Twist; The Do-Over; Brynn and Sebastian Hate Each Other; Cole and Laila Are Just Friends; and her newest novel, Wes and Addie Had Their Chance, is set to come out this year. For a funny and swoon-worthy first introduction to Bethany Turner, I would suggest Plot Twist, because it not only leaves you breathless in so many ways, it also comes with an Irish guy! (Seriously, can you get any better than an Irish guy?)
If you want fun, exciting reads that will keep you busy in the best way, definitely try some of these out! You won't regret it!

Happy reading!
