Top 5 Favorite Authors (Based on Skill)
Hello, all!
I've been thinking long and hard about this, and I've finally decided on five authors who deserve to be on the Top 5 list of best authors based on skill. These are the authors whose writing, world-building, character development, and ideas exceed all others.
Hope you enjoy!
5. Suzanne Collins (The Hunger Games) Wow! This author's insight into the minds of her characters is amazing, and her writing is so powerful! Not only that, but her young adult series The Hunger Games has been cherished for over a decade.
4. Marissa Meyer (Cinder) Okay, this author seems to know exactly what her audience wants, because her unique worlds, intriguing plots, and wonderful characters that you can't help rooting for are such a treat to read. The Lunar Chronicles series is especially remarkable for its subtle twists on fairy tales.
3. Brandon Sanderson (Skyward) I think many others can agree with the statement that this author has got incredible and universally recognized talent. With his witty, street-smart characters and intelligent schematics for sci-fi tech, his writing is nearly unrivaled. The sci-fi series Skyward is one of the best series in the science fiction genre.
2. Rick Riordan (The Lightning Thief) Can any other author claim to be as beloved by millions of children, teens, and adults alike? Not like this author! He's so talented at getting perfectly into the mind of a middle schooler- and then a teen- and his facts are all straight. Percy Jackson and the Olympians is one of the most popular middle grade series, and they're amazing books.
1. Caroline George (Dearest Josephine) Alright, you might realize how much I love Caroline George's books by the sheer amount of times I've mentioned her name, but wow, she is incredible. Her writing is rich and gorgeous, the plots of her books are always unique and engaging, and her characters are crafted with so much emotional depth that I cannot think of an author more deserving of the title Best Author. In case I haven't said it enough- go read Caroline George's books! You won't regret it!
