Renegades

Renegades
By Marissa Meyer

Renegades synopsis:

Secret Identities. Extraordinary Powers. She wants vengeance. He wants justice.

The Renegades are a syndicate of prodigies — humans with extraordinary abilities — who emerged from the ruins of a crumbled society and established peace and order where chaos reigned. As champions of justice, they remain a symbol of hope and courage to everyone... except the villains they once overthrew.

Nova has a reason to hate the Renegades, and she is on a mission for vengeance. As she gets closer to her target, she meets Adrian, a Renegade boy who believes in justice — and in Nova. But Nova's allegiance is to a villain who has the power to end them both.

SPEECHLESS. That's all I can say. (Just kidding. Sort of.) From beginning to end, this good vs. evil story had me absolutely captivated. The characters were incredible, the plot was fast-paced and engaging, and WOW, talk about world-building! I literally have zero complaints with this novel. If you're a fan of Marvel or DC, you will absolutely devour this book.

Content Warnings: Because this book is set in a post-war world, this book contains murder and death, including the deaths of children and parents. There's also mild language and mild sexual innuendo. There are also LGBTQ+ characters, in case that's a selling point or a turnoff for any of you. I'd recommend this for ages 13+. Happy reading!
